Patricia A. Kissinger

August 13, 1937 - February 15, 2018

Patricia Ann “Pat” Radecki Kissinger, 80, of Mentone, Indiana passed at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Aug. 13, 1937 in South Bend, Indiana to Michael Lewis and Helen Josephine (Szczypiorski) Radecki. She was one of five Radecki children and grew up on the Radecki family farm in Niles, Michigan. She graduated from Edwardsburg High School in 1956 and attended Bethel College. As a young woman she served as a missionary with her good friend Phyllis Martin Griffith in North Carolina, Cuba, and Florida. She then worked for Harmony Press of Bourbon, Indiana. Pat married Jerry Kissinger on July 2, 1976 in Mentone, Indiana, he survives. She shared a close relationship with her siblings and especially enjoyed the two-day trips to Shipshewana with her sisters each year. She loved to travel and was able to be in every state except Hawaii. She made many memorable trips with two of her beloved friends Betty Thorn and Barbara Morgan of Scott Depot, West Virginia. She enjoyed many other trips with friends from this area while the children were growing up. Pat also loved to read, do puzzles, and pray. Her prayers were an inspiration to others and especially to her husband. She chose to follow Christ as a young girl. She depended on Him and the prayers of her church family as well as many others to sustain her in the valiant fight against the affliction that took her life. She is survived by her husband Jerry Kissinger of Mentone, Ind.; a son David Kissinger and his wife Tallie of Maumee, Ohio; a daughter Ruth Ann (Kissinger) Lewis and her husband Jonathan of Burlington, Ind.; grandchildren include Maria (Lewis) Knight and her husband Ben, Patrick Lewis, Charlie Kissinger, Ruby Kissinger, Carter Wiese, Quinten Wiese; great grandsons Henry and Caspian; a sister Betty (Radecki) Dodd of Niles, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; a sister Evelyn Cripe; and brothers Richard Radecki and Harry Radecki. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Thomas Harman officiating. The graveside service will follow at the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 4 pm to 7 pm, Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, Indiana. Memorial Contributions to: Atwood Christian Fellowship or the Goshen Cancer Center.
