Patricia A. Baker, 86, Warsaw, formerly of Akron, passed away at 7:29 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at her residence. Se was born on Dec. 27, 1927, in Kosciusko County, the daughter of Merl and Anna Elizabeth (Shepherd) Rowland. On Jan. 3, 1945, in Silver Lake, she married Donald J. Baker, who preceded her Oct. 31, 2009. Pat attended Silver Lake High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to restaurants, gardening, playing dominos and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include a daughter, Pansy and husband Rick Jacobs, Warsaw; three sons, Jacob and wife Adena Baker, Wetumpka, Ala., Tom and wife Jane Baker, Claypool, and Ted and wife Nancy Baker, Warsaw; son-in-law Fred Koehlinger, Fremont; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn Clark, Springfield, Ohio; and brother Duane and wife Mary Rowland, South Whitley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla (Baker) Koehlinger who passed Jan. 30, 2008, three sisters, Marjorie Rhodes, Arlene Juday, and Colleen Horn, and brother Emery Rowland. Her funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is at Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
