Max L. Flenar, 75, of Etna Green, Indiana passed at 12:33 pm, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester, Indiana. He was born on Jan. 28, 1943 in Warsaw, Indiana to Seth H. and Mildred E. (Robbins) Flenar. He married on July 21, 1963 in the Etna Green Church of Christ to Linda J. Long, she survives. He had been a barber for 28 years serving the Mentone community for 14 years and the Bourbon community for 14 years. He then worked for Zimmer Orthopedics of Warsaw for 12 years, retiring in 1998. Max was a graduate of Mentone High School in 1961. He graduated from International Barber College of Indianapolis in 1963. He attended the Church of Christ of Etna Green, Ind. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and watching high school sports. He was always friendly and didn't know a stranger. Survivors and place of residence: Wife – Linda Flenar – Etna Green, Ind. Son – Don Flenar and Vicki – Peachtree City, Georgia Grandchildren – Cade, Reid, Trey, Aleah, and Ashley and husband Ryan Brother - Kay and wife Sue Flenar Etna Green, Ind. Step Sister – Mona Deen and husband Ron Floor – Flint, Michigan Step Brother – Charles and wife Mary Carpenter – Etna Green, Ind. Several Nieces and Nephews Sister-in-law – Carol Flenar – Talma, Ind.
