Mary L. Rose, 83, of Mentone, Indiana passed at 12:15 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born on Dec. 6, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana to Paul Lanson and Mara Louise (Vandermark) Summy. She was married on May 3, 1953 in Mentone, Indiana to James Richard Rose at her parents' home where she was raised. He preceded on April 6, 2009. She had worked at Horn Sunny Meade Restaurant, Murphy Medical Center, Miller’s Merry Manor, Steer Inn Restaurant, Lucky Steer Restaurant, Liberty Cafe, delivered The Paper, and she also baby-sat. Memberships: She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as going to church. She was a member of both the Mentone United Methodist Church and Burket United Methodist Church.
