Pastor Danny J. Honeycutt

January 22, 1952 - April 5, 2022

Pastor Danny J. Honeycutt, 70, of Akron, Indiana went to his heavenly home at 11:53 pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Indiana. Danny was born on Jan. 22, 1952 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Orville and Virginia P. (Reed) Honeycutt. He married on June 28, 1978 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Brenda J. Fairchild, she preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 2009. He then married on July 15, 2011 in Rochester, Indiana to Debra Shidler, she survives. Danny retired from Rochester Metal Product after over 30 years with the company. Along with his work, he made a life decision to become a Minister. He was first ordained through R.A. West Ministries of West Virginia. Danny’s father founded the House of Prayer in 1989. He became the Pastor there in 1991. Danny enjoyed playing music at the church with his brother Bill. His love of music started when he was just 11. His father brought home a guitar and Danny and Bill taught themselves how to play. He also had a lifelong passion for cars. He enjoyed everything outdoors, which included fishing. He always took great pride in his yard. Danny also spent many hours at the Wabash City Park watching softball. He is survived by his wife Debi Honeycutt of Akron; children Carl "Doug" Stacy of Rochester, Tammy Holloway of Wabash, Joyce Honeycutt of Wabash, Seth Manns, Braxton Manns, Quentin Zeiger, and Joni Chambers; grandchildren Steven, Bryonna, Lyndsey, Maree, Dorothy, Solomon, and Greta; sister Linda Sadler of Wabash; brothers Jerry Honeycutt of Akron, Bill Honeycutt of Akron, Jim Honeycutt of Wabash, Darrell Honeycutt of Rochester, Larry and wife Debbie Honeycutt of Wabash, Bobby Gene Honeycutt of Wabash, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his first wife Brenda, parents Orville and Virginia Honeycutt; brothers Denver, Orville, and Harold Honeycutt; sister-in-laws Sheila Kay Honeycutt, Teresa L. Honeycutt, Brenda Honeycutt, Melinda Kay Honeycutt, Mag Lutteral, Frances Osborne, Paula Sloat; and brother-in-law Lee Farichild. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana with Apostle Gerald Ransom officiating. The interment will take place following the service in the Akron Cemetery, Akron, Indiana. Visitation hours will be held from 11 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the House of Prayer.
