Larry L. Floor

Larry L. Floor, 82, of Akron, Indiana passed at 1:52 pm, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born on April 21, 1936 in Miami County, Indiana to Earl D. and June A. (Smith) Floor. He married on June 9, 1957 in the Disko United Methodist Church to Margaret Ann Landis, she survives. In earlier years he worked for Sonoco Products Company of Akron for 18 years retiring in 1974. He then owned and operated a Holstein dairy farm for 24 years, 4 months and 4 ½ days. He also drove a school bus for Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation for 33 years retiring in 2010. In more recent years he has baled and delivered hay on his farm. He graduated from Akron High School in 1956 where he met and then married his high school sweetheart and classmate Ann. Larry attended the Silver Creek Church of God. He was fond of his head-turning 1957 Chevy Bel Air 4 Door Hardtop and was known to drive it through the 4th of July parade if he wasn't driving his matching golf cart or his 1957 John Deere 720. He enjoyed watching Tippecanoe Valley Boys Basketball where he had season tickets for many years. He also enjoyed going to the Honeywell Center to see many different performances. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, especially the Floor Reunion Fish Fry. Survivors and place of residence: Wife – Ann Floor – Akron, Ind. Children - Deborah Floor – Claypool, Ind.
