Cathy D. Graham

Cathy D. Graham, 69, of rural Rochester, Indiana passed surrounded by family at 10:05 am, Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her residence. Cathy was born on August 3, 1955, in Kokomo, Indiana, to John and Betty (Myers) Singleton. She graduated from Haworth High School in 1973, and on February 15, 1974, in Bible Baptist Church of Kokomo, she married the love of her life, Ronald Lee Graham, who survives. In her younger years, Cathy found joy working alongside her husband in their flower shop, a testament to their shared dreams and companionship. She dedicated over 30 years to Kokomo Endodontics before retiring. Church was a cornerstone of her life, and upon moving to the area, she became a member of Beaver Dam Community Church. Sunday after church, Cathy reveled in sharing a big meal with her family. Her love for cooking was evident during family gatherings. Known for her impeccable style, Cathy never donned jeans or a t-shirt. She was always the epitome of class and elegance with her matching outfits. Cathy's adventurous spirit knew no bounds. She loved traveling on cruises, riding roller coasters at theme parks, basking on the beach, boating, and making trips to Brown County. Her courage was boundless, always ready to try something new—even skydiving. Though a city girl at heart, Cathy found profound joy in the tranquility of farm life. Every morning, she relished her coffee while gazing over the farm, finding solace and connection in the simple beauty around her. To Cathy, family was everything. Her greatest joy came from looking after her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her lifelong dream was to be a Mom, a dream she lived with unwavering love and devotion. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Ron Graham of Rochester; daughters Misty and husband Anthony Soupley of Pipe Creek, Texas and Lacey and husband Michael Jones of Rochester; grandchildren Alexandra Soupley of San Antonio, Texas, Victoria and husband Patrick Clark of New Braunfels, Texas, Olivia, Isabella, Kade, and Maelee Jones of Rochester; mother Betty Singleton of Kokomo; sister Julie and husband Mark Payne of Carmel; and several nieces and nephews who she adored. Cathy was preceded in death by her father John Singleton, brothers Jeff Singleton and Randy Singleton. The funeral service will take place at 10:30 am, Monday, December 30, 2024 at Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana with Pastor Butch Troke officiating. Her remembrance place will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, Indiana. Visitation hours will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm, Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, Indiana. Donations can be made in her memory to the Beaver Dam Church, the memo to Wheels on Fire to assist the community members who are fighting cancer.
