Carl L. Feldman

Carl L. Feldman, 77, of rural Etna Green, Indiana passed on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at his residence. Carl was born on February 17, 1949, in Warsaw, Indiana, to the late Harold “Har” and Bonnie (Sharkey) Feldman. He was a 1967 graduate of Triton High School, where he played both basketball and football. On September 15, 1984, he was united in marriage to Debra Hoffer in Etna Green, Indiana, and she survives. Carl was a lifelong grain farmer and, in earlier years, raised hogs and dairy cattle. Over the decades he farmed with Minneapolis Moline equipment, then Case, and most recently John Deere. He also had worked part‑time in the RV industry. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. Carl had a deep love for sports and was part of the Triton basketball team that advanced to Semi‑State in 1965. He enjoyed hunting birds, waterfowl, and deer, as well as fishing, skeet shooting, and woodworking. Carl cherished his family. He was known for being stable and stubborn in the best way—because there was always a right way to do things. Beneath that determination was a loving, caring, and playful heart, always willing to help others. He especially loved supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events. He will be remembered as a hardworking man with patience and an engineering‑minded approach to problem‑solving. He is survived by his wife Debra Feldman of Etna Green; children Lea and husband Kevin Kotterman of Bourbon, Todd Feldman of Bourbon, Heath and wife Gwenda Gard of Bourbon, Bret and wife Erin Feldman of Etna Green, Trina Gard of Tippecanoe, Carly and husband Derric Kauffman of Warsaw, and Cally and husband Brantly Horvath of Cody Wyoming; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, sister Benita Joan Salyer, and a great grandson Archer Evans. A private family service will take place at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Larrie Kreft officiating. His interment will take place in the Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana.
